Listowel »

Listowel is a Town of approximately 5500 people known as part of the Town of North Perth that make up this part of Perth County. Listowel is one of our largest and closest towns, being less than 15 minutes to the South of Palmerston.
Listowel has been known as Car City for many years because it does have most of the brand names car dealerships, plus it has all the amenities that one really could want or need. Some of the stores located there are: Canadian Tire, Zellers, Zehrs, Giant Tiger, Food Basics, M&M Meats, MacDonald’s, Tim Horton’s, the Listowel Golf and Country Club.  Plus it has all of the major banks, along with some small factories that employ many people in our surrounding area.
Listowel real estate prices have always been higher than Palmerston because of its population and all of the amenities available as mentioned. Listowel is a great community along with catering to all types of summer and winter sports.  One of the biggest events is Listowel Paddyfest Day, the largest St. Patrick’s Day Festival in North America, that has been long established and benefits many of the social programs that exist within their Town.
